We welcome proposals for articles of original analysis, book reviews and graphs related to defence, security and strategic policy.<\/p>\n

Please send us a pitch, not a complete article. The first sentence of your pitch should tell us your main contention<\/strong>\u2014the new opinion or assessment that you want to contribute. Then tell us why it\u2019s important<\/strong>. Finally, mention some other contentions or conclusions <\/strong>that would be in the article. Five sentences should be enough.<\/p>\n

Send the pitch to us at editors@aspistrategist.ru<\/a><\/p>\n

We usually limit articles to around 800 words but will consider publishing longer pieces on a case-by-case basis. The Strategist<\/em> style guide is available here<\/a> (PDF).<\/p>\n

We ask that authors clearly disclose any commercial relationships, affiliations or potential conflicts of interest. We also ask that authors do not submit a piece to The Strategist<\/em> that is under consideration for publication elsewhere.<\/p>\n

We will reject any material that has been published elsewhere, doesn\u2019t further the discussion of defence and strategic policy, is in poor taste, contravenes Australian defamation or vilification laws, or for any other reason that is deemed by the editors to be inappropriate for publishing.<\/p>\n

Authors will be engaged in the editorial process and given the edited form of the article in advance of publication.<\/p>\n

The Strategist<\/em> encourages responses to posts, in the form of short remarks or pieces of standard length, subject to the same conditions as outlined above.<\/p>\n
